In the field of nutrition and digestive disorders, cannabinoïds represent a research track in full expansion, in particular modulating pain, nutritional content, immune system, inflammatory reaction, fibrosis and cellular proliferation. This system therefore represents a new and important therapeutic target for pharmaceutical and food-processing industry in various diseases such as inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), digestive functional disorders, obesity, hepatitis, cirrhosis .
It is within this framework and an aim of potentiating and initiating new research collaborations that DigestScience brings together the various international teams working on these themes at the time of this first forum entitled Roles of cannabinoids in nutrition and digestive diseases. The scientific Committee of this forum is composed of Didier Lambert, Christophe Stein, Pierre Rivière, Andréas Zimmer and Pierre Desreumaux.
