Testathlon on October 24, 2009, on “la Base des Prés du Hem” in Armentières, DigestScience organizes the Fourth Testathlon in favour of Research on digestive tract diseases.

Created in 2006 within the framework of the 1st national day on Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBDs), the TESTATHLON is a triple test which purpose is to mobilize the general public on digestive tract diseases. 

Original sports event: country triathlon combining running, mountain bike and a final race in water. Two courses are proposed: A long course: 7 km race, 50 km in mountain bike, 100 m in water and an easier course : 3.5 km race, 25 km in moutain bike, 100 m in water. All this being able to be done in team (relay) or as individual.  

Innovation for 2009: 

An initiation to Scandinavian walk : 

walking along using carbon fibre sticks called “Nordic Sticks”, which allow, through its complete movement, an activation of the muscular and articular chains of the whole body.  It has many benefits on health like  improvement of the cardiovascular capacities, oxygenation and a request of all muscular chains up to 85%. Open to all of you, this physical activity will enable you to spend one friendly moment in family!

2 family pedestrian excursions: 4 km and 10 km.  

Cédric Vasseur, our patron will come to support the participants and Research as well and will run the long course!

The TESTATHLON allows the mobilization of all: physicians, patients, researchers,  authorities, industrial companies…

True conveyor of values such as compassion, courage, team spirit, the TESTATHLON is open to all: families, young people, less young, sportsmen, less sportsmen!

Each year, entertainments are envisaged on site: professional organizer, musical groups, sound system, tombola and advertised sports tee-shirt offered to all courageous participants !!  

All profits of Testahlon will be devoted to Research for digestive diseases.
